BEng/ MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Study Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Northampton

A progressive new course which benefits from the university’s longstanding links with Northants Engineering Training Partnership (NETP), the School of Science and Technology’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering MSc course has been developed to ensure that all students gain the skills necessary to excel within their chosen fields, thus propelling the industry forward.

This programme also allows students to implement their theoretical expertise by offering a twelve-month placement within industry between the second and third stages of their study; the additional MEng stage provides more in-depth experience of the discipline and encourages students to demonstrate their understanding of their individual research projects, which are submitted at an earlier stage of the course.

    Typical Modules on this course:

Stage One

  • Computer Systems
  • Electrical and Electronic Principles
  • Engineering Industry Practice
  • Introduction to Engineering Design
  • Mathematics for Engineers
  • Problem Solving and Programming

Stage Two

  • Advanced Mathematics for Engineers
